قالت مصادر عائلية  إن الشرطة الموريتانية أعتقلت مساء اليوم الخميس 3 سبتمبر 2020 ديدي ولد أمصبوع، والد صهر الرئيس السابق محمد ولد عبد العزيز.
وقالت المصادر إن ولد أمصبوع الوالد اعتقل من منزله بنواكشوط الغربية من قبل عناصر من الشرطة دون معرفة الأسباب.

دعا فاعلون في منظمات المجتمع المدني إلى خلق تحالف واسع لاسترجاع الأموال المنهوبة مؤكدين على ضرورة مضاعفة وتوحيد الجهود من أجل محاربة الفساد.

وثمن الفاعلون ما وضفوها بالخطوات الحكومية المعلن عنها، مشيرا إلى أنها حظيت بإجماع من الأغلبية والمعارضة.
