في إطار اتصالاتها التحسيسية التقت لجنة متابعة قضايا الصحافة يوم الاثنين 16-10-2017 ، الوزير الأول السيد يحي ولد حدمين، حيث استعرضت معه واقع الصحافة والصحفيين ملتمسين منه الحفاظ على المكتسبات التي حصلت عليها موريتانيا في مجال حرية التعبير والتي بوأتها المرتبة الأولي، معتبرة أن التحقيق مع ز
قال رئيس "حركة إيرا" بيرام ولد الداه ولد اعبيد أن لا مشكلة لديهم إلا مع الرئيس محمد ولد عبد العزيز الذي "كرس الظلم و الغبن و العنصرية و الدكتاتورية"، مضيفا أنه "انتهك الدستور و نهب أموال الدولة"، بحسب تعبيره.
تعهد الوزير الأول يحي ولد حدمين اليوم الخميس خلال اجتماع عقده مع لجنة متابعة قضايا الصحافة على جملة قضايا تتعلق بالإفراج عن قانون الإشهار وغيره من بنود دعم الصحافة مع إنشاء دار للصحافة.
وقد أصدرت اللجنة بيانا صحفيا في ختام اللقاء جاء فيه:
