ولد الغزواني: السور الأخضر الكبير سيخلق 10 ملايين فرصة عمل

قال الرئيس الموريتاني محمد ولد الشيخ الغزواني، خلال قمة افتراضية لمبادرة السور الأخضر الكبير العابر للقارة الأفريقية، إن تنفيذ خطة السور سيحتاج تعبئة 17 مليار دولار، ولكنه في المقابل سيمكن من خلق 10 ملايين فرصة عمل.

ولد الغزواني كان يتحدث في القمة بصفته الرئيس الدوري لمبادرة السور الأخضر الكبير، قبل أن يسلم لنيجيريا رئاسة المبادرة التي تضم 12 دولة.

وقال ولد الغزواني إن مبادرة السور الأخضر الكبير تهدف إلى «استعادة 100 مليون هكتار من الأراضي المتدهورة، وتخزين 250 مليون طن من الكربون، وخلق 10 ملايين فرصة عمل بحلول العام 2030».

ولكن تحقيق هذه النتائج، اعتبر ولد الغزواني، أنه مرتبط بتنفيذ خطة ستتطلب تعبئة ما يقارب 17 مليار دولار.

وشارك في القمة الرابعة العادية لمبادرة السور الأخضر الكبير، ممثلون عن دول المبادرة بالإضافة إلى ممثلي 18 منظمة إقليمية ودولية.

وكان المملون قد تعهدوا في قمة المناخ في غلاسكو الاسكتلندية، قبل أسابيع، بتمويل مبادرة السور الأخضر الكبير بما قيمته 14 مليار دولار خلال السنوات الخمس المقبلة.

وأطلقت مبادرة السور الأخضر الكبير عام 2007 من طرف الاتحاد الأفريقي، من أجل مواجهة التغيرات المناخية والقضاء على التصحر وزحف الرمال في أفريقيا.
