في يومهم العالمي..مطالب متجددة بدمج ذوي الإعاقة

يحتفل العالم اليوم السبت، باليوم العالمي للأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة، الذي يخلد هذا العام تحت عنوان “الحلول التحويلية للتنمية الشاملة: دور الابتكار في تغذية عالم منصف متاح للجميع”.

ووفقا لمنظمة الأمم المتحدة، فإن حقوق ذوي الإعاقة ورفاههم، يعتبران من الشروط الأساسية لدعم حقوق الإنسان والتنمية المستدامة والسلام والأمن.

وتعتبر المنظمة الدولية أن الالتزام بحقوق الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة، ليس مسألة عدالة فحسب، وإنما هو كذلك استثمار في مستقبل مشترك.

ويعيش 80 في المئة من أصل مليار شخص من ذوي الإعاقة في البلدان النامية، في وقت تشير التوقعا إلى  أن 46 في المئة من المسنين الذين تبلغ أعمارهم 60 عاما أو أكثر هم من ذوي الهمم.

وقال الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة انطونيو غوتيريش، في رسالة بمناسبة اليوم الدولي للأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة، إن عالمنا يواجه سلسلة من الأزمات التي تؤثر على الأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة تأثيرا غير متناسب.

ويسلط اليوم الدولي للأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة هذا العام الضوء على دور الابتكار في بلورة عالم منصف تتيسر فيه سبل الوصول.

وأكد الأمين العام على أننا في حاجة إلى حلول تحويلية لإنقاذ أهـداف التنمية المستدامة وعدم ترك أحد خلف الركب،  “ويتطلب ذلك مزيدا من التعاون بين القطاعين العام والخاص لوضع استراتيجيات لصالح لأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة يشاركون فيها ويضطلعون بها”، حسب تعبيره.

واليوم العالمي للأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة يصادف يوم 3 ديسمبر من كل عام،  وهو يوم عالمي خصص من قبل الأمم المتحدة منذ عام 1992 لدعم ذوي الإعاقة. بهدف زيادة الفهم لقضايا الإعاقة، ودعم التصاميم الصديقة للجميع من أجل ضمان حقوق هذه الفئة.
