سيول في أطار ودعوات لإنقاذ سكان المدينة

شهدت مدينة أطار، شمالي موريتانيا، تساقط كميات من الأمطار تسببت في سيول عارمة تضرر منها العديد من أحياء المدينة وفق ما أكدته مصادرمحلية .
 
وتشير التقديرات إلى أن الأمطار التي شهدتها المدينة صباح اليوم الجمعة وصلت إلى أكثر من 50 ميليمتراً، وهي كمية لم يسبق أن تم تسجيلها في المدينة خلال السنوات الأخيرة.
 
وقد تسببت السيول الناتجة عن الأمطار التي بدأت في الساعات الأولى من فجر اليوم واستمرت لعدة ساعات، في تضرر عشرات المنازل الطينية في عدد من أحياء المدينة.
 
وقال النائب في البرلمان عن المدينة محفوظ ولد الجيد في اتصال مع "صحراء ميديا" إن هنالك أحياء في المدينة منكوبة بسبب السيول التي شردت عدداً من الأسر.
 
ودعا ولد الجيد إلى تدخل عاجل من أجل إنقاذ السكان وتخفيف الأضرار التي خلفتها الأمطار في أطار وعدة بلدات تابعة لها.
