اجتماع تشاوري بين البرلمان ومجلس السلم الإفريقيين

احتضنت مدينة ميدراند بجنوب إفريقيا اجتماعا تشاوريا رفيع المستوى عقده البرلمان الإفريقي ومجلس السلم والأمن التابع للاتحاد الإفريقي تحت شعار: "تعزيز التآزر والتعاون المؤسسي من أجل سلام وأمن دائمين في إفريقيا".

شارك في الاجتماع العديد من البرلمانيين، بينهم فاطمة حبيب؛ النائب الأولى لرئيس البرلمان الإفريقي، إلى جانب ممثلين عن مجلس السلم والأمن، ومفوضية الاتحاد الإفريقي للشؤون السياسية والسلام والأمن ومؤسسات أخرى تابعة للاتحاد.

وشهد الاجتماع تنظيم جلسات خصصت أولاها لتشخيص واقع الحوكمة والسلام والأمن في القارة الإفريقية، بينما تناولت الجلسة الثانية موضوع المشاركة السياسية الشاملة والتمثيل الديمقراطي في إفريقيا،

أما الجلسة الثالثة فخُصصت لاستعراض طرق العمل وآليات التعاون المؤسسي الواجب تعزيزها لضمان تعاون فعّال بين الهيئتين.

واختتم اليوم الأول من الاجتماع بعقد جلسة تناولت المساهمة البرلمانية في دعم موقف الاتحاد الإفريقي بشأن إصلاح الحوكمة العالمية، وتم تخصيص اليوم الثاني لمراجعة واعتماد الاستنتاجات والتوصيات المشتركة.
