عزيز : كرئيس لايمكنني المطالبة باعدام المسيء

قال الرئيس الموريتاني محمد ولد عبد العزيز إنه بحكم منصبه كرئيس للجمهورية لا يمكنه أن يطالب بإعدام المسيء محمد الشيخ ولد امخيطير، لأن في ذلك تدخل في سير القضاء.

وكان ولد عبد العزيز يرد على سؤال خلال مقابلة مع صحيفة "لوموند" الفرنسية، تحدث عن مطالبة ولد عبد العزيز بإلحاق أقسى العقوبات بالمسيء، وهو ما نفاه ولد عبد العزيز حين قال: "لم أطالب أبداً بإصدار حكم الإعدام في حقه، لقد استقبلت موريتانيين يتظاهرون رفضاً لما كتبه هذا المدون، وهم الذين كانوا يطالبون بالحكم عليه بالإعدام".

وأضاف ولد عبد العزيز في نفس السياق: "كرئيس للدولة لا يمكنني الحكم عليه قبل العدالة التي يوجد الآن بين يديها"، وفق تعبيره.

وكانت المحكمة الجنائية بمدينة نواذيبو قد حكمت على المسيء بالإعدام وعدم النظر في توبته، فيما راجعت محكمة الاستئناف الحكم وحكمت بالنظر في التوبة، وينتظر أن تصدر المحكمة العليا يوم 20 ديسمبر الجاري حكمها النهائي في الملف الذي حرك الشارع الموريتاني وسط مطالب شعبية بالحكم عليه بالإعدام.

وكانت الصحيفة الفرنسية قد سألت ولد عبد العزيز إن كان يرى في مطالب تنفيذ الإعدام في حق المسيء "علامات تطرف إسلامي لدى جزء من الشعب"، وهو ما نفاه ولد عبد العزيز بشدة.

وقال ولد عبد العزيز في هذا السياق: "لا أرى في ذلك أي علامة للتطرف، مجرد تعبير صادر عن أناس يتمسكون بالدين في بلد إسلامي 100 بالمائة"، قبل أن يضيف: "نحن لسنا متطرفين ولكننا نمارس الدين المعتدل بالتزام".
